Mitchell Townley
Director of Bands
Mr. Townley joins us from North Johnston High School in Kenly, NC where he served as Director of Bands for six years. Under his leadership NJHS bands received numerous awards and accolades at competitions, festivals and throughout the state. His energy and commitment to the students and program earned him the First Year Teacher of the Year Award at NJHS! He holds a Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Music Education from Appalachian State University. Mr. Townley’s professional affiliations include the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), North Carolina Music Educators Association, and North Carolina Bandmasters Association. In his spare time, he performs with the award-winning Triangle Brass Band.
