The SHS Band Boosters run a concession stand for each of the concerts at Walnut Creek. TEAM trained volunteers work a cash register or run food/drink to the cashiers. We have a few slots at each concert for NON-TEAM trained volunteers that run food and non-alcoholic drinks only to the registers. These volunteers must be 16+ years old. The payout for each volunteer is based on a percentage of that night’s sales. Payouts are credited directly to your student’s fair share account.
TEAM training sessions are offered throughout the year and are rather quick with a short quiz at the end about procedures for serving alcohol. Everyone passes! TEAM training sessions are posted in the top information section of the signup genius, or you can contact the SHS Band Boosters Walnut Creek Coordinator. TEAM training is good for three years! You can sign up for Team Training or sign up to work at a concert by clicking on the button below:
We generally arrive at 5:00 pm (time varies each concert) and get the stand set up with beer on ice and food ready to serve. We are usually finished up and leave around 11:00 pm, but it varies.
We will not need a full staff for all concerts. The number of volunteers needed for each concert will vary depending on ticket sales. Please sign up for the concerts you would like to work and our event coordinator will confirm closer to the concert date. All times listed are the GATE opening times. Please arrive at the concession stand 1 hour before the gate opening time. Allow time to park, go through security, and get to our booth on the far side of the stadium. Parents/Adults (and students 18+) please sign up under TEAM trained. Students that are 16 & 17 years old need to sign up under the NON TEAM trained.
It is a fun group of people to work with, and you could be paying off this year and working on next year's fair share in no time!
Click on the button above to sign up for concerts as well. Just scroll to the bottom of the sign up genius.
Please contact SHS Band Boosters Walnut Creek Coordinator at walnutcreek@sandersonband.com if you have questions.
